We have made some changes in the chicken population. The 3 white birds and the rooster with the fighting claws (shown in these pictures) were traded for 5 fat laying chickens. Barney the Duck got lost while I was in Greece. We kept our banty rooster and 2 banty hens. All hens are laying and the rooster is doing what banty roosters do. He better be careful. The picture of Baby Nik was on the refrigerator held with a chili pepper magnet.
Oh, the last picture is a gathering at our neighbors last fall. He puts up a Yurt for the summer and guides para gliders off a nearby mountain. He also hunts elk with a bow. He cooked the meat in a pit and that is how I like it: someone else catches it and cooks it. Terry and David talk about the wildlife and Rasa teaches us about medicinal plants (right outside the door) and I get to hold Baby Sky who will be trying to go up the stairs when we see him next.
