New Song "AUNT PHIL'S FARM' by JJ Kita

Hi everybody! Well, it's finally ready. JJ had such a great time at the 4th of July picnic that he wrote a song to immortalize this truly enduring, all-American Bridgman family tradition. Just google Johnny Kita and his listing should be at the top of the page (under Johnny Rainbowtop Kabuki, I think). When you get to his Myspace music page it's the first one on the list. I hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed recording it! Love, Kim

Let's See Your Garden!

This year Terry and I planted a pretty garden for "show" since our house is for sale. Everything in it was started by my students at school. We had a big plant sale in May and earned $1,500. We only weed and water so (no fertilizer). Our petunia's and pansies were not well marked when we bought them from the students so when we planted them it was a surprise what color they would be. We have eaten radishes, strawberries and we just got some ripe tomato's. Let's see what you have! Camera batteries just went dead so more photo's coming soon!!!

Oliver Goes to the ZOO

Kelli Smith arranged for a day at the zoo! It was little Oliver Bridgman's first visit. Pictured here from the left: Oliver, Jessica Bridgman, Jamie Bombach, Kelli Anne Smith, Kaitlyn Bombach, Danny (Meagan's friend), and Meagan Bombach. The Bombach are Kelli's friends. Little Oliver didn't miss a thing. He really liked to study all of the animals. He also was talented on the African drum in the Zoonasium.

Jessica made certain that he saw everything.

Look at my Pumpkin

I am so excited about growing a pumpkin this year, a New England Sugar Pie Pumpkin. It has many flowers and a few small pumpkins, but a couple of them have died, probably too humid here. Of course it decided to grow in the opposite direction of what I had planned, I had cleared a space to the right and it grew towards the rose bushes instead. They have pumpkins here but not what an American would consider as one, no orange flesh. Come and visit this winter if you want homemade pumpkin pie.

It was wonderful seeing all of the Bridgeman/Jenkins clan once again. 4th of July on the farm is always something that we look forward to. Thank goodness for wonderful extended family.

FAMILY FOURTH OF JULY

There is nothing quite like a family and friend picnic to bring everybody out! Here Grandpa Al, Uncle Ralph and Uncle Frank gather for a post dining photo. Don't try to steal the crab from any one of these three! :-)

The finale was strawberry shortcake. Mom loved the sunshine and Dad the dessert.

Ali and Sarah found all of their favorites at the food table. It was a seafood extravaganza with Bob at the bar-b-que. Get this: grilled tuna, sturgeon, salmon, prawns, oysters, steamed clams, boiled dungeness crab and a turkey. Look in the background of most of the pictures and you will see many "food OD'd" on the ground.

Ralph Jr. and Mike share adventures.

Family friend Jeff Rasar (Az) provided the music for the day. Mike B. checks out Jeff's latest technology and huge DJ collection. Bob B. is Az's assistant at many events.

Mom and daughter, Peggy and Lettie pause for a pose. Are they going to eat the watermelon next?

Tyler, Dan, and cousin Don Rowe.

From let to right: Becky, David Bridgman's girlfriend, Lettie Bridgman and her boyfriend Wade.

Pictured here are four generations of Bridgmans. Left to right, Baby Oliver Bridgman, Grandpa Dan Bridgman, Oliver's Dad, Tyler Bridgman, and Oliver's Great Grandpa, Al Bridgman front and center.

Aunt Tiro enjoys the food, family and fun.
